Ba Lao Shi Perfect English
Hong Kong's Professional English Instruction
For his Science and Communications Writing workshops for Hong Kong Baptist University and the HKBU Haimen Institute of Science and Technology, Robert uses a combined writing and speaking technique that is highly effective.
Nanzan Junior College does not have a specific Writing Lab or Workshop. Mr. Badal gave extra time outside of the classroom to help students and made assistance in writing his specialty. In a way, he created his own writing lab that was very popular with students, many of whom were not from his classes, but came because they heard from others that it was worthwhile.
His commitment to best practices in Rhetoric and Composition and the time he is willing to put in to help students is matched by both an ability and a true passion for teaching.

He was known for the extra time he would give to students to help them with their writing. (see Teaching Experience: University Professor)

The students then acted these screenplays and made original video productions.
For his writing class, his students made a special magazine and selected an Editor-in-Chief. They created feature articles on a variety of topics, which they developed with peer-reviewed portfolios. Robert Badal has a firm grasp of the disciplines and resources of the written language. From his experience as a writer, teacher, and tutor, he has worked out an intriguing philosophy of language instruction. He is certainly a superior student/teacher of language with the ability, enthusiasm, and dedication to move into the upper echelons of the field. I feel confident in recommending him.
Lary H. Gibson, Professor, California State University Northridge
Writing in English can be a challenge for non-native speakers...What was extraordinary is that Mr. Badal was able to help each student, even though they were all quite different in ability. He was patient and focused and adjusted to each person's style...the parents were amazed at the their improvement...I would give my strongest recommendation to Mr. Badal as a college-level writing instructor, especially in a situation where there were students of different levels.
